well. i liked this space a lot. maybe a few less wire sculptures on the wall for me, but overall i dig it. love the vintage Eames sofa and the fiberglass shell chairs. and i’m making a mental note to visit the owner’s shop, Abingdon 12.
i love the black and white striped rug on the cover.
the gift guide arranged by color had some great ideas. lovely pillows and camera ski goggles and wishbone necklaces…
and i LOVED the article with Jonathan Adler. fun to see photos of his office space.
but that bedroom with wall-to-wall zebra patterned carpet tiles from Flor was scary. and that house in Connecticut was mostly just… boring. right?
i’ll leave you with this happy image instead of posting pics of the scary zebra room.
i love being able to see where others vacation, where they go to retreat and relax. my favorite place to be a travel voyeur is the summer issue of vogue magazine, where well-known designers and fashion writers talk about where they will take their summer holiday.
this little slice of heaven, however, comes to us from today’s New York Times, and features the guest cottages at home of Kawal Singh Ahluwalia. his home is perched above the sea in an area known as the “hamptons of Mumbai”. take a look…
i’m especially digging the block-printed tablecloths in the first and last photos

sitting area in the master bedroom
i’ve been inspired for my future home so many times over the years, but not like this. i’m just in love with the black, white, and grey color palette. can’t you see it with little pops of acid green and blue-violet? a modern barn, indeed. i think it’s perfect!
that custom zinc headboard is gorge!
i love an all white kitchen
